Bodycam comes to Fortnite: inside Nazara's official UEFN adaptation
Nazara and Virstate launched an official Bodycam experience inside Fortnite with Free For All, Team Deathmatch and Gun Game on the Russian Building map. Island code, modes and what it means for Bodycam on PC.
Bodycam is no longer just a PC game on Steam. On September 12, 2026, an official adaptation built with UEFN (Unreal Editor for Fortnite) went live inside Fortnite.
Who made it
- Developer: Virstate.
- Publisher: Nazara Technologies, under an agreement with Reissad Studio, Bodycam's creators.
- Reissad keeps the IP and stays focused on the PC game.
It isn't fan-made: it's a licensed version. It doesn't replace the Steam game either: it's a separate, more arcade experience aimed at Fortnite's audience.
What's in it
| Bodycam in Fortnite (UEFN) | |
|---|---|
| Island code | 9784-3946-5466 |
| Modes | Free For All, Team Deathmatch and Gun Game |
| Map | Russian Building, recreated from the original game |
| Progression | Ranks and weapon unlocks |
| Future | Seasonal updates |
It keeps the game's signature body-camera perspective, close-quarters fights and realistic atmosphere, within Fortnite's technical limits.
What's next
Nazara has announced more maps from the original Bodycam, new weapons and equipment, rewards, seasonal content, community events and new modes. CEO Nitish Mittersain called it "the first of many" of the company's Fortnite projects.
What does it mean for Bodycam on PC?
- The PC roadmap doesn't change. Reissad's priorities remain the party rebuild, anti-cheat and bringing Zombies back. See when party and Zombies return.
- It's the closest thing to "Bodycam" on console. Fortnite islands are usually available on every platform Fortnite runs on. That's our inference, so check the island on your platform. More in Bodycam on PS5 or Xbox?
- More visibility for the franchise. Fortnite is one of the world's biggest discovery platforms; if the island does well, it will bring new players to the original.
