When is the next Bodycam update? What we know after two weeks without patches (October 2026)
Reissad hasn't released a patch since September 25. Why, what the next intermediate update is, when it could arrive and what it will bring: party on an experimental branch, anti-cheat, Zombies for Halloween and unrevealed news.
If you've been checking Steam every day for a patch, you haven't missed one: Reissad hasn't posted anything since September 25. As of October 12, 2026, the latest announcement is still patch v0.8 #6. It isn't abandonment: the studio said this would happen.
Why there are no new patches
In the patch #6 notes, the studio explained that:
- It was "likely the last v0.8 patch", barring something urgent.
- The team was now fully focused on the party system, anti-cheat and "other stuff that we're going to reveal later".
- Updates would come less often for a while.
- The next release wouldn't be a patch but a "minor/intermediate" update, with details "as soon as we can".
- They were finishing a post-mortem of the past year to share the plan for what comes next.
In other words, two quiet weeks are exactly what to expect after switching from weekly patches to preparing a bigger update.
What the intermediate update will bring
Confirmed by the studio:
- Work on the party system, rebuilt on a new connectivity layer. It will first ship on a Steam experimental branch for the community to stress test.
- Work on anti-cheat, tied to that same connectivity layer.
- "Other stuff" not yet revealed.
Very likely (our inference):
- Zombies, since the stated goal is to bring it back for Halloween. More in Zombies for Halloween 2026.
Possible (speculation):
- The party system arriving earlier as an experimental branch than the update itself, as an open test.
- Economy and Reissad Points tweaks, a recurring topic in recent patches.
When is it coming out?
There's no official date. The most reasonable expectation is before or around Halloween (October 31), if they want to deliver Zombies on time. Steam also runs its Scream Fest from October 26 to November 2, a good window for a horror mode. If it slips, November is the next logical option. Both are inferences.
In the meantime
- To play with friends: custom matches, as explained in how to play with friends.
- To progress: Wingman and Versus pay the most Reissad Points, and since patch #6 you can bank up to 50,000. Details in the Reissad Points guide.
- To know the minute it drops: our official Steam announcements section updates itself every 30 minutes, and the overview is in upcoming updates.
