Bodycam PC system requirements (2026): minimum, recommended and will it run
Bodycam's official minimum and recommended specs from Steam: CPU, GPU, RAM and 50 GB on an SSD. What they mean in practice, Steam Deck, laptops and controller support, and how to get more FPS.
Bodycam runs on Unreal Engine 5 and is a demanding game. These are the official requirements listed on Steam, checked on September 25, 2026, for version 0.8 Locked & Loaded.

What they mean in practice
- The GPU matters most. The minimum calls for an 8 GB VRAM card from the upper mid-range of a few years ago. With 4 or 6 GB of VRAM you'll need lower textures and upscaling.
- 16 GB of RAM is the sensible target. 8 GB will launch the game, but expect stutter with a browser or Discord open.
- Install it on an SSD. The studio recommends it, and it shows in loading times and early-match stutter.
- The specs don't state a target FPS or resolution. A reasonable reading is "1080p low-medium with upscaling" for minimum and "1080p medium-high" for recommended. That's our interpretation, not the studio's.
What if my PC is below spec?
- Turn on upscaling: DLSS, FSR or XeSS, depending on your GPU. v0.8 also added DLSS Multi Frame Generation in patch v0.8 #1.
- Lower shadows, volumetric fog and textures.
- Turn off film grain, a simple toggle since patch #5.

Steam Deck, laptops, Mac and Linux
- Steam Deck: Valve rates it unsupported due to graphics performance.
- Gaming laptops: a laptop RTX 3060 with 8 GB of VRAM or better should run it with upscaling. Laptops without a dedicated GPU won't.
- Mac and Linux: no official version; Steam lists Windows only.

Can you play with a controller?
Yes. Steam lists full controller support, DualSense support and Steam Input. In a competitive shooter you'll be at a disadvantage against mouse players, though.
