Patch 路 v0.8 #5
Bodycam patch v0.8 #5: anti-AFK arrives and the party system is rebuilt from scratch
A first anti-AFK system, reticle previews for magnified optics, lasers visible again, and confirmation that parties are being rebuilt on a new connectivity layer.
The fifth v0.8 patch (September 18, 2026) brings the first anti-AFK system, but the most important part is what the studio says about playing with friends.
The party: top priority, and not a quick fix
Reissad explains that bringing back group queuing "is not a simple fix to re-enable". The party system is being rebuilt on a new connectivity layer, and that rework also affects the anti-cheat. The team is fully focused on it and promises regular updates.
That's a key detail: anti-cheat and parties appear to be linked, so they'll likely arrive together or close together. Until then, the way to play with friends is the one in this guide.
Anti-AFK
A first version of a system that detects genuinely inactive players and sends them back to the Lobby, keeping active matches cleaner. The studio calls it a "raw implementation", so expect tuning.
Settings and UI
- Film Grain is now a simple on/off toggle.
- Shorter map vote timer.
Team indicators
- More reliable player counts across modes.
- The green square that marks teammates is more reliable and no longer disappears after certain state changes.
- The host can see that indicator on bots again.
Loadout and optics
- Reticle preview for magnified optics in the loadout editor. Very handy for picking a scope without testing it in a match.
- Fixed the position and size of some magnified reticles.
- The SG9-X basic bundle now correctly unlocks its magazine.
- Adjusted the flashlight on the Sabor attachment.
Weapons and equipment
- New and polished grenade animations, including the flashbang.
- Lasers are visible again to other players. In some cases they were invisible, which was an unfair advantage.
Visual rendering
- Tablet screen rendering was reworked: no artifacts, with more accurate and less intrusive reflections.
- More crash-report data from loadout and settings to help diagnose issues.
