How much is Bodycam? Steam price, sales and is it worth it in 2026
Bodycam costs $33.32 / €33.32 on Steam (September 2026). When it has been on sale, whether the price will rise after Early Access, refunds, Family Sharing, cheap keys and whether it's worth buying now.

Is it free?
No. Bodycam is a paid Early Access game since June 2024. The only free thing related to it is the official Bodycam island in Fortnite, which is a separate, more arcade game.
Has it been on sale?
Yes. Reissad announced a discount during the Steam Spring Sale 2025 (March). Steam games usually drop again during the big seasonal sales:
- Autumn (late November).
- Winter (late December).
- Spring (March).
- Summer (late June).
Expecting Bodycam to follow that pattern is reasonable, but it isn't a studio promise. If you're not in a hurry, wishlist it and Steam will notify you.
Will the price go up?
It might. On the Steam page the studio says, word for word, that "the price of Bodycam could change after early access." They also expect to stay in Early Access for "several years" and say the full version won't be different: the transition will happen naturally once everything is polished.
Refunds, Family Sharing and in-game purchases
- Refunds: Steam's standard policy applies. You can request one within 14 days of purchase if you've played under 2 hours. The studio itself suggests trying the game and refunding it if it's not for you.
- Family Sharing: Bodycam supports Steam Family Sharing.
- Microtransactions: Steam lists "in-app purchases", but the real-money shop is disabled in v0.8. Gear is unlocked with Reissad Points earned by playing: see how to earn them fast.
What about cheap keys from other sites?
Key reseller sites can be cheaper, but they aren't official stores. If a key was obtained fraudulently it can be revoked and you lose the game. Steam refunds don't apply there either. Our advice: buy on Steam, ideally during a sale.
Is it worth it in 2026?
For:
- v0.8 Locked & Loaded rebuilt animations, audio and weapons, and added loadouts and the Trenches map.
- Over 66,000 Steam reviews, 80% positive ("Very Positive").
- No active microtransactions.
Against:
- No party matchmaking with friends right now, and Zombies is disabled. See when party and Zombies return.
- It needs a strong PC: check the system requirements.
- Anti-cheat is still in development.
Bottom line: if you have a good PC and enjoy realistic tactical shooters, it's worth it, even more so on sale. If you mostly play in a group, you may want to wait for the party system to come back.
